Beryl Shapps

Fascinated to read about the re-cycling and general eco friendly stage of the Isles of Scily.
Fifty years ago my then fiance and I wanted to spend our honeymoon on the islands, but due to attitudes in those days, we were advised that hotels closed down in September, as there was insufficient interest in visiting there. I wonder if it is the same today in the economic climate where we find everyone on the bandwagon of taking money (and who can blame them in these harder times).
Sadly we never did get to visit there, but we are still in the holiday market, so you never know.
