Congratulations on the new blog! It was a great move; the RSS feed works much better than the old one, and the blog is easier to navigate. I can't wait to see what else you have for us.

Hey there IT gurus!

Just wanted to say we think the new green and orange color scheme is pretty rad...we're excited to see what other cool changes you have in store for us. Keep up the great writing and content!

Hi, I'd like to subscribe to your RSS feed (which needs a big RSS feed button moved to the top of your site, I think) but when I click "Subscribe" I get a pop-up box that tells me it's an index.rdf type of file.

It asks if I want to save it or find a program to open it. Since I can't see the point of saving it, I tell it to find a program, which then opens another Microsoft window and tells me they can't find a program to open it.

I've seen this same thing on another Typepad blog, and if RSS signup isn't easy, people tend to give up and leave.

Love the print mag and want to see the blog do well....

Emily

Hi Sheila--

Thanks for your note and for your words of encouragement!

As for the RSS: You can get the feed URL without viewing the file directly by right clicking on the "Subscribe to this blog's feed" link from your sidebar and copying the URL. Then it can be pasted into an aggregator or a site that utilizes your feed.

To offer an additional way for our readers to subscribe to our RSS, we plan to connect our blog with Feedburner in the near future.

Hope this helps!
